California’s heavy-duty emissions program.
Clean Truck Check is CARB’s mandatory program for heavy-duty vehicles — separate from the DMV smog program for cars and light trucks. Diesels rated over 14,001 lbs GVWR must be tested periodically to stay registered. We’re a licensed testing center, and we can come to you.

An on-board diagnostic scan of the engine and emissions systems. About 15–30 minutes.
Opacity · pre-2013
A smoke-opacity measurement for older diesels without compatible OBD. About 30–45 minutes.
Visual inspection
A check for tampering, missing emissions parts, and visible smoke or leaks — on every heavy-duty vehicle.
Mobile · we come to you
We bring the inspection to your yard or roadside, so your trucks don’t lose a day. One truck or a whole fleet.

Lighter diesels take a different test.
If your diesel is 1998 or newer and 14,000 lbs GVWR or under, it isn’t a Clean Truck Check vehicle — it gets a standard diesel smog check, which we also perform. Not sure which applies? Call with your vehicle details and we’ll sort it out.
